Okay, from here out, we're going to (for the most part) stick with the Tolkein-esque / D&D races. That's this list:

Human
Elf (Surface ONLY, no drow)
Half-elf (half-human)
Dwarf
Halfling

Other races may be approved on a case-by-case basis. Please PM the Torân Moderators before posting your character.
